AP: Merkley uninjured in accident
By Alex Isenstadt, Politicker.com ReporterDemocratic U.S. Senate candidate Jeff Merkley was unhurt in a rollover accident on U.S. Highway 20 near Sisters Thursday afternoon, the AP is reporting.
Merkley was travelling with an aide, who was also uninjured.
Spokesman Russ Kelley provides a few details.
"They were both pretty shaken up, as you could imagine, but there were no apparent injuries. Both were wearing seat belts."
"The State Police responded to the accident, and they didn't see a need to send either of them to the hospital."
