Former Rep. Les AuCoin, who represented the first district in Congress for eighteen years, has endorsed Steve Novick for the Democratic U.S. Senate nomination. AuCoin announced his backing of Novick at a Portland press conference on Monday.
AuCoin gave up his House seat in 1992 to run for the U.S. Senate, and lost to Republican Bob Packwood by a 52%-47% margin.
The Oregonian has endorsed four incumbents for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives, and is backing Democrat Kurt Schrader for the seat being vacated by Darlene Hooley. Click here ... >
