Bipartisan Task Force to Address Student Safety

House Republican Leader Bruce Hanna announced the formation of a bipartisan task force intended to address student safety issues in Oregon’s schools.

The task force, which will begin meetings after the conclusion of the special session of the Legislature, will be chaired by Rep. Linda Flores.

"We put our trust in teachers to protect our children. This issue needs to be a top priority and I'm ready to look at whatever changes are necessary to keep our kids from harm's way," said Flores.

Members of the task force also include Reps. Debbie Boone, Brian Clem, John Huffman, Tina Kotek, Sherrie Sprenger, and Gene Whisnant.
