State senator and Congressional candidate Kurt Schrader (D-Canby) will not be attending the Democratic National Convention, Schrader’s campaign manager Paul Gage said Thursday.
“We considered it,” Gage said. “But we decided it was more important to be here working on the campaign that week.
Gage said that Schrader will spend the week doing some fundraising and getting out and talking to voters in the 5th Congressional District, where he is running against businessman Mike Erickson (R-Lake Oswego).
“It really won’t be that much different from his normal week,” Gage said.
The Democratic National Convention will be held in Denver August 25-28.
