OR-1: Haugen to appear on O’Reilly Factor
By Britten Chase, PolitickerOR.com ReporterJoel Haugen (R-Scappoose), the Republican nominee in the 1st Congressional District, will appear on Fox News's the O’Reilly Factor on Tuesday, his campaign manager Sarah Tiedmann said.
According to Tiedmann, Haugen will be appearing with other Republicans that have come out and endorsed U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) for president.
Haugen’s endorsement of Obama has drawn the ire of OR-1 Republicans, who have banned him from participating in most local party events because of it.
The Oregon Republican Party and the National Republican Congressional Committee have said they will continue to support Haugen as the district’s nominee. controversial within Oregon Republican circles after an article on PolitickerOR.com
Tiedmann said the segment will air on Fox News at approximately 5:45 PDT.
