Estes: ‘McCain is a man of convictions’

MINNEAPOLIS – Presidential candidate John McCain (R-Ariz.) is a man of courage and has the experience to lead, Marine Corps veteran and Oregon delegate Jack Estes said Tuesday.

Estes is the critically acclaimed author of A Field of Innocence, a Vietnam War memoir. He is a Vietnam veteran and co-founder of the Lake Oswego based Fallen Warriors Foundation. He is in Minneapolis as an alternate delegate for McCain, and even though he may not actually get to cast a vote for the Republican presidential candidate, he is still proud to attend and show his support for the candidate he sees as a war hero.

“I believe in his support of the military and how he’ll reach across the aisle,” Estes said. “He is a man of courage and a man of convictions.”
