Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean is headed to Oregon Sunday to participate in get-out-the-vote events with state Democratic candidates.
Dean will be in Portland Sunday afternoon, and Eugene Sunday evening, to participate in rallies and urge Oregonians to get their ballots in, according to a release from Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama’s Oregon office.
Dean will appear with U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Portland), U.S. Senate candidate Jeff Merkley (D-Portland), Secretary of State candidate Kate Brown (D-Portland), State Treasurer candidate Ben Westlund (D-Tumalo), Attorney General candidate John Kroger and Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian.
The Portland event will take place at Obama’s Oregon campaign headquarters at 4:30 p.m. The Eugene event will take place at the town’s Campaign for Change office at 7:30 p.m.
