Campbell considers run for state treasurer

The Oregonian's Jeff Mapes is reporting that Salem lobbyist Craig Campbell is pondering a campaign for state treasurer.

"It's really a fascinating job," Campbell tells Mapes. "It has a tremendous amount of responsibility."

Campbell, whose father Larry Campbell served as Republican House Speaker, would be the first Republican entry in the race. Democratic State Sen. Ben Westlund has declared his intention to run.
