Jeff Mapes has pointed to an entry at senate2008guru that suggests Mary Starrett, who ran for Governor last year with the Constitution Party, for which she now serves as the National Political Communications Director, may be considering throwing her hat in the ring.
Starrett could bring an interesting dynamic to the race, as she's a staunch conservative on most issues ranging from abortion and gay rights, to illegal immigration and global warming, which she has refused to acknowledge truly exists.
She has firmly opposed the war in Iraq from the start however, and, according to Senate2008guru, she seems to harbor some resentment toward Gordon Smith. Only time will tell.
