Former presidential candidate and Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney is set to speak at tomorrow’s Oregon Republican Party State Convention.
Oregon Republican Party spokesperson, Brianne Hyder, told PolitickerOR.com that Romney will be the keynote speaker at the conventions’ banquet.
The event, which is expected to host as many as 300 people, will last until Saturday at noon. The convention is held every two years with the party’s platform being the central focus. According to Hyder, nine committees in total will hold caucuses to examine and perhaps alter the party’s platform in regard to issues such as healthcare, the economy and families.
