Hooley Says Time to Move On

Rep. Darlene Hooley D-Ore. will not run for re-election.

Joan Evans, Hooley’s COS said Hooley has “served for 12 yrs, the longest she's been in any position. She decided it’s time to move on, there are other things she wants to do.”

Hooley talked about the effect of airline travel—about 24 hours a week to travel to and from Oregon between home and her apart in DC—and the large amount of time she spends fundraising as key elements in her decision to retire.
