Kroger adds to union support

John Kroger was able to score another union endorsement today, when he announced the support of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 48 (IBEW).

"John Kroger is a bright new voice for Oregon workers,” said Clif Davis, Business Manager and Financial Secretary with IBEW Local 48.

“We're supporting John because we know he'll be a proactive voice for our members and for every citizen in the state. John is the experienced Attorney General we need to move Oregon forward," Davis continued in a statement.

Kroger’s hold on the union and labor organizations appears stronger than that of his opponent, Greg Macpherson. The Service Employees International Union (SEIU), (nearly former) Labor Commissioner Dan Gardner, the Oregon Education Association and Carpenters Local Unions 247, 711, 1388, 2416, 2154 and 1065 have all thrown their support behind Kroger, while Macpherson has scored the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 555.
