As pundits and campaign strategists sift through the wreckage of Hillary Clinton’s Iowa campaign, it seems Governor Ted Kulongoski’s recent support of the NY Senator hasn’t been shaken.
Kulongoski announced his support for Clinton in December, and joined her on the campaign trail in Iowa, but after Hillary’s grim 3rd place finish Thursday; many Clinton supporters are worried the Obama freight train may be tough to stop.
But according to Kulongoski Spokeswoman, Anna Richter Taylor, the Governor sees the Iowa loss as a mere bump in the road, and insists Hillary is resilient enough to rebound in New Hampshire.
“The Governor believes this is the first step in a very long process, and he is confident Senator Clinton will perform well in New Hampshire and then again on Super Tuesday,” Taylor said, adding that Kulongoski has no plans to hit the trail with Clinton again.
“At this point, the Governor plans to be helpful in any way that he can, but he has no plans to campaign for Senator Clinton out of state.”
