Merkley endorsed by Planned Parenthood

Speaker Jeff Merkley’s legislative record earned him another endorsement today, this one from the Planned Parenthood Advocates of Oregon. The organization cited Merkley’s 100 percent record protecting women's right to choose.

"Jeff Merkley has been a leading supporter of women's health - standing up to extremists and passing common-sense legislation that expands access to affordable birth control and ensures rape victims have access to emergency contraception," said Nancy Bennett, Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Oregon.  

Merkley has been wrapping up support from a number of progressive groups who have highlighted his efforts in the Legislature, including NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon and Basic Rights Oregon.
