Wu goes for Obama
By Lauren LafaroChalk one up for Obama. Rep. David Wu—one of Oregon’s superdelegates—announced today that he is endorsing Sen. Barack Obama’s bid for president.
"He's the embodiment of change," Wu said this morning on a conference call with reporters.
Although Wu will be throwing his hat in with Obama, he did not criticize Sen. Hillary Clinton; rather, he mentioned that although both are strong candidates, Obama won him over after a discussion on policy issues.
"I am endorsing Barack Obama for president today because I believe that he is best suited to turn the page on this sorry episode in American history. He and I both had the judgment to oppose the Iraq War from the very beginning," Wu said.
Thus far, out of Oregon’s 12 superdelegates, only four have endorsed a candidate: Gov. Ted Kulongoski and Rep. Darlene Hooley are with Clinton, while Reps. Earl Blumenauer and Wu are going Obama.

U.S. Rep Wu's Endorsement of Senator Obama
Thank Representative Wu for endorsing Senator Obama!! I certainly hope Oregon will following Washington's lead and give Senator Obama the entire state. He is the one candidate to can and will bring genuine and lasting changes for the betterment and prosperity of our beloved United States of America!! Senator Obama has the unique ability to think on different levels at one time, therefore embodying that special vision he has displayed; for example, when he gave his 2002 speech against the Iraq War, where he outlined exactly what would transpire and the resulting consequences if we did go to war. EVERYTHING he foresaw/predicted HAS happened. We need a new leader with this kind of vision and leadership! He will make the right decisions the first time!!
