Obama team to launch registration canvass

Barack Obama's recently deployed Oregon team is hitting the ground running--or rather canvassing.

In anticipation of the April 29 voter registration deadline, the Obama campaign is launching a statewide registration canvass this Saturday.

The email Rob Hill, Obama’s Oregon State Director, sent to supporters, noted that “registering voters is more than just an important part of our strategy -- bringing more people into the political process is what our movement is all about.”
