Someone close to the Oregon House Democrats reminded me the Dem caucus should be applauded for their actual victories and not admonished for failing to reach a 40-seat majority (which would give them quorum abilities where the GOP wouldn't need bothering to show up for work anymore).  Apparently, my previous post reeked of turning a substantial loss by Oregon House Republicans into some sort of victory.  So, in the spirit of the Fairness Doctrine, let's take a look at what state Rep. Dave Hunt, Michele Rossolo and the rest of the folks over at FuturePAC were able to accomplish this election cycle.

FuturePAC’s executive director said Wednesday that the Oregon House Democrats’ political action committee had no plans to make Rep. Linda Flores (R-Clackamas) current financial woes a campaign issue.

House Minority leader Bruce Hanna sent a letter to the Elections Division of the secretary of state’s office Friday with a complaint that state House candidate Judy Stiegler (D-Bend) was late in reporting campaign finance activity.

FuturePAC head Michele Rossolo said Thursday that the Democratic political action committee has no plans on retracting statements made in recent mailers regarding Rep. Scott Brunn's (R-West Linn) position on abortion.

Brunn had requested Thursday that FuturePAC retract statements made on mailers it sent to voters in House District 37 which said Brunn was against abortion in the instance of rape or incest and when a mother's life was in danger.

"The facts absolutely back up everything we need to know," Rossolo said.

State Rep. Scott Brunn (R-West Linn) demanded Thursday that State Rep. candidate Michele Eberle (D-West Linn) and FuturePAC retract statements made in mailers that were sent to residents in HD-37.
