ST. PAUL -- After taking a while to get excited about a candidate, Oregon Republican Party vice chair Russ Walker said he is finally starting to see Oregon Republicans respond enthusiastically to presidential candidate John McCain.

Looks like the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association is holding off on that victory lap after learning two ballot initiatives targeting their entire industry failed to make the November ballot.

Sizemore, who has circulated dozens of proposals over the years for mostly conservative causes, is a chief petitioner on five of the proposals. So is Walker.”
