Secretary of State candidate Kate Brown recently received large amounts of campaign cash from two prominent liberal organizations. EMILY's List, a national fundraising powerhouse who endorsed Brown over the other pro-choice Democratic candidate Vicki Walker, donated $10,000 last week. The Oregon Education Association also chose to double their initial donation of $25,000 to Brown in the last few weeks of the campaign.
These contributions give Brown a significant advantage over Walker and Rick Metsger, both who continue to lag in the SOS money race.
