Erickson runs cookie-cutter anti-immigrant ad
By Wally EdgeDoes the lemon law apply to campaign ads? Because whatever Mike Erickson (R-Lake Oswego) is paying his ad consultants, it's too much. The Republican candidate for the 5th Congressional District seat was sold a used car.
His campaign has an anti-illegal immigration/amnesty ad titled "Broken Border." The ad features grainy footage at a border crossing, accuses Democrats of offering "government handouts and amnesty", followed by on-screen text and an announcer saying: "Mike Erickson says: No More."
The same grainy footage, commentary and screen text (with the name changed) appears in an ad for Jay Love, a self-proclaimed "conservative, Christian candidate for the Republican nomination for the 2nd Congressional District of Alabama."
Erickson, who should probably be running to the middle, was sold the same ad as a conservative from Alabama.

Demand all police departments have Immigration training, to ease the escalating crime rates across the country. Their pledges must rescind all 'Sanctuary city' police policies or lose state and federal funding. We already are financially supporting 12 to 30 million illegal immigrants and their extended families. That when they swear on their Bible an oath of allegiance to the American people, they will fight both domestic and foreign enemies. How is this going to help Erickson win swing voters and women? And if its such a big issue--they should do an original ad in Erickson's words not a copy of an Alabama ad.

Terrible picture of Erickson, he looks like a porker
and that's not going to win him any sympathy, he comes across as a country-club Republican in a district that has few.
