Palin coming to raise money in Oregon

Oregon delegates to the Republican convention in St. Paul, Minnesota are talking about a possible fundraiser in Oregon on September 24 featuring political newcomer vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.  Tickets are alleged to be $1000 per plate.  No word on where the event will take place.  The McCain campaign had no comment on Palin's schedule.

Questions to ponder: will Senator Gordon Smith make an appearance with Palin on camera?  Will embattled GOP congressional nominee Mike Erickson be invited?  What kind of cash will Palin bring in given her Pacific Northwest roots?

Exciting and a breath of fresh air? How can you say that with a straight face? McCain has sacrificed every thing he stood for to get himself in better standing with the religious right. He is no longer the man he used to be. It is a sad thing to see and he will not be getting the vote he once had from me.

Gordon Smith

Do me a favor...keep Smith out of this...he's not a Republican. He has voted against energy independence time and time again. Time to start representing the base or run as a DEM.

Palin in Oregon

She is waisting her time coming here to Oregon or Washington. We hate freedom here in the Northwest. We hate freedom loving people like those crazies up in Alaska who think they know better how to spend their own money. She should just go to Idaho where people care more about their families and their communities than they do about the most important entity, the Federal Government. The government, and the people who work for the government, have college educations with fancy titles and letters after their names, and they know more than you do, so get used to it. You people need to listen to Europeans when they say they will not tolerate anything but an Obama victory come November.

Temptation rarely comes in working hours. It is in their leisure time that men are made or marred.

It is due to a full week of this kind of stuff on blogs, TV, newspapers, magazines and radio that Sarah Palin has an approval rating higher than Barack Obama or Joe Biden.
