Kroger feels the love from some new friends

After a bitter primary battle in the race for Attorney General against State Rep. Greg Macpherson, it appears that love is in the air for Democratic (and Republican) nominee John Kroger.  Kroger's campaign announced several general election endorsements today including incumbent Attorney General Hardy Meyers, Governor Ted Kulongoski, the Oregon League of Conservation Voters and former Governor Barbara Roberts, all of whom endorsed Macpherson in the sharply divided Democratic primary.  Kroger's race to the finish line won't be a tough one as he is the nominee for both parties after winning the Dem primary and the GOP write-in campaign.  Republicans were rumored to have former AG candidate Kevin Mannix lined up until he decided to pursue an unsuccessful bid for Oregon's fifth congressional district.  For whatever reason, no other GOP lawyer wanted the gig.  Kroger currently faces minimal opposition from Constitution Party candidate James Leuenberger.
