Shiprack's husband shows tough support for her county commission campaign

As The Oregonian continues to go after Multnomah County Commission candidate Judy Shiprack for her poor management of the Old Town Lofts in downtown Portland, her husband, labor leader Bob Shiprack, is lodging threats to local political insiders that if support for her campaign starts to weaken so will donations from the Oregon Building Trades Council.  Many local union leaders and activists were put on notice by Mr. Shiprack in the last week that Judy's campaign should remain a priority for the fall election season.  One source to the Inside Edge indicated that even a mere question that her work as executive director for the nonprofit that developed the lofts may have been substandard causes Bob "to become irate and defensive."  Meanwhile, no word yet from Ms. Shiprack's commission opponent Mike Delman on whether he'll use the mismanaged funds in his runoff campaign.
